Spanish Government supplies extra information in English language to property homeowners and purchasers-00-5456
Expatriate house house owners and buyers at the moment are ready to request a Land Registry certificate (nota straightforward) in English from the Colegio de Registradores (College of Registrars). A certificate, adding the translation payment, costs 29 (plus VAT) and will be asked from the Colegio de Registradores website online.
In addition, a new central government decree (that got here into power on 7 July) introduces a range of measures that the Government says will shield estate purchasers and house owners, helping in order for purchasers have the necessary info in hand and preventing estate issues from taking place sooner or later.
HM Ambassador to Spain, Giles Paxman, stated:
I welcome those projects. Communicating critical info in English, combined with the measures declared within the decree, must help to guarantee buyers are accurately informed of any authorized issues attached with a estate.
However those measures wouldn’t, of course, do anything else to assist existing house owners who’ve been experiencing issues with their properties. We shall continue to work with the Spanish government to guarantee those issues are addressed.
British nationals pondering buying a estate in Spain or experiencing estate issues are strongly urged to read the wealth of advice at the estate section of the UK in Spain.
